Send these four
things and we can
start immediately.
Half of every fix is working out what changed. You already know most of it, so putting it in the first email saves a day of back and forth.
- Your site address, and a link to a page where the problem shows.
- What you expected, and what happens instead. Plain words are fine. A screenshot or a short screen recording is better than a description.
- When it started, and what changed around then. An update, a new theme, a pasted-in script, a payment change. This is usually the answer.
- How urgent it is. A site that is completely down is treated differently from a spacing problem. Tell us which you have.
Do not have all four? Send what you have. A site address and a sentence is enough to get started.

The site is down
An error page, a blank screen, or a security warning instead of your publication. Treated as urgent.
The newsletter is not arriving
Sends that fail, sit in a queue, or land in junk folders. Usually a sending or domain records problem rather than Ghost.
The paywall is wrong
Paid posts readable by anyone, or members locked out of what they paid for. Costs you money in both directions.
Payments are failing
Sign-ups that never complete, cards declined for no reason, or subscriptions not activating after payment.
An update broke something
A Ghost or theme update that took the layout, a feature, or the whole site with it.
It looks broken on phones
Menus that trap you, overlapping text, images off the edge of the screen, where most of your readers are.
The site got slow
Pages that took one second now take five. Usually an added script or images nobody resized.
Search rankings dropped
Often a technical cause with a technical fix: pages hidden from search, duplicated addresses, or a broken sitemap.
Something is off and you cannot say what
Numbers down, readers complaining, nothing obviously broken. Diagnosis is the job here.
